In a climbing forest, the equipment is tracked using small chips that are integrated into the harnesses and carabiners. The rental system enables effective asset tracking, allowing items to be located and secured against theft. Data transmission is ensured with the help of FUSION IoT cards.
A visitor who wants to borrow equipment can press a button to have the desired equipment booked out of the warehouse and transferred to the checkout system. This activates the deposit system so that the visitor can take the equipment with them. During use in the climbing forest, the equipment remains trackable, allowing staff to monitor the location of items and ensure they are being used properly. After the climbing adventure, the equipment can be easily returned via the rental system. By scanning the chips again, the equipment is booked back into the system and the deposit is refunded.
These integrated tracking and deposit systems not only ensure the safety of the equipment, but also enable a smooth and efficient rental process for visitors to the climbing forest.
