SMART TOURISM: PEDAL BOAT RENTAL – AUTOMATED RENTAL AND TRACKING

A customer wants to hire a pedal boat and goes to the pedal boat hire shop on the lakeshore. Once at the boat rental, the customer scans the QR code on the pedal boat using a smartphone app. The app opens and the customer is asked to register and enter the payment information. After successful registration and payment, the customer will receive confirmation of the successful booking of the pedal boat. The customer gets into the pedal boat and begins his pleasure on the lake.
During the trip, the pedal boat is continuously tracked by GPS devices that are integrated into the boat. The tracking data, including location and speed of movement, is transmitted to the central database in real time via a FUSION IoT SIM card. The pedal boat rental company can monitor and track the position of all pedal boats on a map in real time to ensure that they are in the authorized area of the lake and do not get lost.
After the customer has finished his pleasure, he brings the pedal boat back to the boat rental. When the pedal boat is returned, the QR code is scanned again to confirm the return and complete the rental process. This use case enables a seamless and automated experience for customers who want to rent pedal boats, while ensuring the safety and location of the boats through GPS tracking.
