Discover the unbeatable benefits of our IoT SIM cards, which not only save time and money, but also ensure a smooth and customized IoT experience. From simple administration and calculable costs to the best network coverage – we set new standards.
Always and everywhere connected. Our SIM cards combine proven and new technologies:
IoT SIM cards work not only in one, but if necessary in several or in all existing mobile networks in a country.
What particular advantages do IoT SIM cards, which can connect to all available networks, have over SIM cards from a national network operator?
Roaming means that third-party networks can be used. Normal national SIM cards from a network operator do not have the option of roaming in the home country, i.e. being able to log on to other networks. This means that SIM cards registered in another country are required. With national roaming, the benefits of these special IoT SIM cards now include the ability to use several or even all of a country’s available mobile networks.
With our proprietary, multi-directional and multi-level SIM management platform myFUSION, we ensure absolute transparency and give you and your customers complete control over your IoT connectivity and connected hardware.
This enables you to fully control SIM cards, tariffs and data pools in real time. By setting alarms, protection against excessive consumption is ensured – for individual SIM cards or entire pools. Our platform also protects the connected devices with an IMEI lock.

Optional services
All SIM cards in the same tariff share a common data pool. SIM cards can access unused data volume on other SIM cards. Booked volume is used more efficiently and therefore also reduces monthly costs.
In contrast to dynamic pooling, where each new active SIM card increases the shared pool with its included volume, the previously agreed pool size is available every month with static pooling.
The SIM cards assigned to this pool can use the integrated data volume without limitation, i.e. a single SIM card can use 80% of the pool and the rest, for example, can be used by a single SIM card. 49 SIM cards together require only 12% of the pool – the remaining 8% is the buffer or security volume of the pool in this case. The number of SIM cards that can use and access the pool is variable and can be changed flexibly. The more SIMs are activated in this pool, the lower the calculated data volume available per SIM.
Flexibility and security are important to us at FUSION IoT, which is why tariff adjustments are possible at any time. Should the agreed pool size be exhausted one month, the devices and connected applications will continue to function without restriction. The additional usage is guaranteed and covered by favorable follow-up prices per MB.
All-inclusive – for every phase of your IoT project.
Our services for you
Thanks to the national roaming feature, our SIM cards ensure that they work not only in one, but in several or in all existing mobile networks in a country. Normal national SIM cards from a network operator do not have the option of roaming in the home country, i.e. being able to log on to other networks. This means that SIM cards registered in another country are required.
This ensures optimum network coverage and availability. An important feature, especially for security-relevant applications, and a significant advantage over classic data cards.
What particular advantages do IoT SIM cards, which can connect to all available networks, have over SIM cards from a national network operator?
In the event of a necessary or unforeseeable significant overrun of the included data volume, e.g.
… you benefit from the following advantages:
With the fee-down option, the charges for excess consumption not covered by the tariff are reduced significantly in stages so that follow-up costs are minimized and can be calculated transparently.
For certain applications, FUSION IoT SIM cards with additional voice or SMS functions are the ideal choice, for example for elevator emergency calls (voice) and various alarm scenarios (SMS). FUSION IoT offers two different ways of integrating these two functions as an option for the SIM cards.
Option “Inclusive package per SIM”
Here, a monthly quota or package of voice minutes or text messages is booked as an option for each SIM card. Once the inclusive quota for the respective SIM card has been used up, subsequent minutes or text messages are billed according to usage.
Option “Total pool of voice minutes or SMS”
A total quota of voice minutes or text messages is booked here, from which all active SIM cards can draw. There is no limit or stipulation as to how many units the individual SIM card can use. The monthly billing amount is therefore made up of the basic fee for the individual SIM cards and the total pool of voice minutes or text messages booked. Once the included total pool has been used up, subsequent minutes or text messages are charged according to usage.
Important to know!
Both variants ensure that the often security-relevant requirements and functionalities are met in full even after the inclusive quotas have been exhausted, or that they remain operational and do not go completely out of service.
This is a significant difference and advantage over conventional data cards, which are throttled in speed once the inclusive volume has been reached and therefore do not ensure that the alarm system or alarm device is still functional at all. Furthermore, conventional data cards can only work in “their” network and fail in the event of a network fault. In contrast, the FUSION IoT SIM cards cover all 3 networks in Germany and thus offer maximum availability and security. The SIM cards are also available via FUSION IoT for alarm and signaling systems or other security-relevant applications with VdS certification.
FUSION IoT SIM cards use the 1 kB clocking feature to ensure that the smallest possible data unit is used for billing and evaluation. In the case of M2M SIM cards, this is 1 kB.
With regular or classic data cards as well as some M2M basic and standard offers, billing is in 100 kB or 10 kB cycles. This leads to the data volume included in the tariff being reached much more quickly and consequently to significantly higher costs and subsequent data requirements. The 1 kB clocking ensures that, for example, only this extremely small amount of data is actually counted for a short “response” or pinging of the card/terminal device and that 100 kB is not counted every time.
Example calculation for a 1 MB tariff:
1 kB clocking
20x pinging with 2 kB data consumption per process = 40 kB consumption billed.
Consumption within the inclusive volume and no additional costs.
100 kB clocking
20x pinging with 2 kB data consumption per process = 2,000 kB (20x 100 kB) consumption billed.
Consumption is 1,000 kB (approx. 1 MB) above the inclusive volume and therefore additional costs.
By design, FUSION IoT SIM cards offer a higher level of security, as they cannot be easily accessed from outside, i.e. from the “public Internet”. This is because FUSION IoT SIM cards do not use the familiar public Internet access points and “addresses”, known as APNs (Access Point Names), but special access points that are only known to a select group or only released for certain card types. These are therefore referred to as private APNs.
The FUSION IoT SIM cards are assigned one or more private APN(s) and the SIM cards can only be used with these. It is therefore necessary to enter an approved APN for these SIMs in the hardware / end devices. This is the only way to enable access to the Internet and data exchange via the SIM card.
Security is increased even further with an “individual” private APN, which is configured and set up specifically for a company or a special application.
Normally, a VPN and private IP addresses are also implemented so that data transfer and access options are particularly secure.
Important to know!
With FUSION IoT, the provision of a private APN is always included as standard in the service package at no extra cost. This APN is communicated to the customer in his contract documents and when his SIM cards are sent. Via FUSION IoT, we offer the optional provision of individual private APNs plus corresponding VPN connection and IP addresses as an extended scope of services for a fee. Blacklisting and whitelisting services can also be implemented.
Choose your area of application according to your requirements.
Choose the right tariff model with individual consumption parameters.
An IMEI is the unique identification or serial number in your end device, e.g. Router.
FUSION IoT guarantees additional security and protection against improper use of the IoT device and the SIM card used via the special IMEI lock feature. Our myFUSION SIM management platform protects connected devices and hardware via IMEI lock. If the SIM card and hardware are disconnected, you as the customer or your stored responsible contacts will receive an alert. A decision can now be made on how to proceed, e.g. whether the SIM should be blocked or, because hardware needs to be replaced, whether the SIM card should be allowed to connect to the new device.
If desired, the SIM card is automatically set to “Deactivated” status when the “IMEI lock” function and alarm are activated, so that no further use of the SIM is possible. The IMEI lock provides additional security and protection against damage.
FUSION IoT SIM cards offer various options and configurable settings that can be selected for the type and time of activation, depending on the customer’s individual requirements.
General advantages
IoT SIM cards are usually delivered and sent “Inactive”. This gives you as a customer the certainty that no monthly costs, such as basic charges, will be incurred as long as the SIM card is not activated. This is particularly advantageous if larger quantities of SIMs are required and these cards are to be installed over a longer time horizon of several months or years or are to be used gradually.
Furthermore, these inactive cards ensure that no unforeseen or undesired use, e.g. of the vehicle, can occur. in other devices.
Advantages of automatic activation via “Active Test Mode”
SIM cards activate themselves automatically once a defined free data volume has been exceeded.
Especially for manufacturing and production processes where the SIM cards are integrated into complete solutions, e.g. as a SIM chip, this small “inclusive volume” is required for a short function test – without incurring any separate or additional costs.
No manual intervention or additional effort is required to put the SIM card or the device equipped with it into operation on site. This is particularly relevant if service providers are commissioned for installation or fitting or if the customer does it themselves. The application is immediately and automatically ready for use.
